It is a celebration of visual, performing, musical and culinary arts.  With more than 100 artists working in a dazzling variety of media, festival-goers always have plenty to see, hear, touch, taste and experience.

As the name suggests, it isn’t your average run! On Saturday, March 14 participants will jog, walk, sprint (your choice!) through OWA as neon powder fills the air, turning you into a bright and colorful runner in the streets! Grab your friends, sign up, and you’ll also get a complimentary white Rainbow Run T-shirt, which definitely helps the neon colors show up. You won’t be missed in the streets of Downtown when you’re covered in the colors of the rainbow!

After you finish your run and are covered in the rainbow, hop inside the Park to redeem your two (2) beer or soda tickets at Veranda.

Elberta German Sausage Festival

Join us at the German Sausage Festival for Elberta's famous German sausage & sauerkraut, plus continuous entertainment for adults and children, and over 200 arts & crafts booths. Other scrumptious foods will include German style filled cabbage, potato salad, goulash, red beans & rice, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, ice cream, popcorn and peanuts. There will be baked goods as well as arts & crafts for sale at the festival. Carnival rides, polka, country, contemporary and German music will also be provided for entertainment.


The sausage festival is a town fund-raiser, spearheaded by Elberta's Volunteer Fire Department in 1976, whose proceeds are used for improving not only the fire department, but the town as well...

Zydeco and Crawfish Festival

The Waterway Village Zydeco and Crawfish Festival will be rolling into Gulf Shores. Come enjoy fresh boiled crawfish, zydeco music by some of New Orleans best bands, and see some incredible, original art. It’s all free to the public and it’s happening on East 24th Avenue in the Waterway Village of Gulf Shores. Artists must register with the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance. The registration form is below.

With activities ALL day starting at 8:00 with a 5k run, Artist along the west side by the bridge, Zydeco music ALL day, and a giant Crawfish Boil by Acme, Tacky Jacks and LuLus.

The Shark Run 5K

As many of you know, The Shark Run has grown over the last six years to well over 1200 runners for all four races. With growth comes change and, with that in mind, The Shark Run will be at The Wharf in Orange Beach on July 4, 2020. There will be categories for both a 5K Run and a 5K Competitive Walk. The race will be a certified course and starts at 7am. All finishers for all events will get a finisher's medal, and both events will have age group awards, as usual.

2020 Shark Run Registration will open November 23, as part of the Run The Coast Summer Series- Black Friday Sale.

Boom Boom 2021 Mardi Gras Fireworks - A Socially Distant Event

The City of Orange Beach and The Wharf have teamed up to provide a safe, family-friendly alternative to celebrate Mardi Gras on Saturday, February 13th on Main Street.
The Boom Boom 2021 Mardi Gras Fireworks event will begin at 5 p.m. with DJ Silky playing fun music under the palms. The SPECTRA Laser Light Experience shows will play at 6 p.m. and immediately following the fireworks display at 7 p.m.
While parades have been canceled, this socially distant event will still allow some good times to roll in a safe manner. Guests can watch the fireworks display from a variety of locations.
