The Enclave at Oak Hill Condominium Owners' Association
Two-Step Verification (2SV) Available Now
- Written by: Administrator
Beginning today (03/02/2022), registered users of The Enclave at Oak Hill's website will have the opportunity to more securely log onto the website by using two-step verification (2SV). What does this mean? After logging in with just your UserID and password you will be asked to provide your second step verification. Until you provide a correct second step verification you will not be able to access any Owner specific pages on the site or actually login. You will always be redirected to the "captive login" page. This is very much like what Google does when you try to login to GMail.
The first time you login, you will be given four choices: 1. Don't use 2SV; 2. Use an Authenticator App; 3. Use a YubiKey; or 4. Use Email.
This added security has been accomplished by implementing Akeeba LoginGuard. A few of the advantages of Two-Step Verification with LoginGuard are:
Generator Alternative
- Written by: Administrator
Many of you have asked the Board of Directors about purchasing a portable generator for use at your condo unit at The Enclave at Oak Hill. The Board has historically decided against these portable generators.
The primary reason for not allowing these portable generators in the past was for safety of the unit owner and of nearby unit residents. Portable generators typically are powered by fossil fuels (gasoline, etc.) and as such present a hazard to life as a result of the fumes emitted. They are also against the State Fire Code.
In light of the impacts on our community by Hurricane Sally recently, the Board has revisited this decision and recognizes the need for electricity by our residents in the aftermath of events such as Hurricane Sally. Therefore, the Board has approved the use of electrical “inverters” in their units if they wish. The only caveat to this approval is that NO FOSSIL FUEL POWERED GENERATORS CAN BE USED.
